WEM®- Climate Pipe System
The piping of the WEM®- Climate Pipe System
is delivered on reels and must be bent into
shape and installed on site.
This system is very competitively priced,
but installation is more time-consuming than
for the heating grid.
This solution is particularly suitable for the
competent DIY builder aiming to keep costs low.
The mounting rails are fixed to the rough wall
using screws or dowels. Afterwards, the pipe
is layed and attached to the mounting rails.
The pipes are then covered with clay, lime or
gypsum plaster to a total thickness of
between 30 and 35 mm.
The WEM®- Climate Pipe System is suitable for walls that are to be plastered and that plaster will adhere to. The u-value (former k-value) of the wall should be less than 0,5 w/m²K for existing structures and less than 0,35 W/m²K for new constructions to minimise heat loss and ensure that the heating system reaches the indicated output levels. This does not apply in existing structures where parts of the existing structure are to be preserved. Where existing structures are refurbished, additional insulation may be required.
